D-REV, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization developing products to enrich the lives of the poor.

Our mission is to start a "design revolution" in the way products are designed, marketed and distributed, and enable new sources of income for the impoverished people who represent the other 90% of the world. D-REV invents and develops products and services that are reliable, cost-effective and affordable, providing simple, scalable and sustainable solutions to many areas of concern, such as healthcare and energy, for the poor.

According to FAO, in Kenya, each year around 95 million liters of milk are lost, at a value of around US$22.4 million per year. In Uganda, approximately 27% of all milk produced is lost: 6% is wasted at the farm level, while 11% and 10% of production is either lost to spillage or spoilage during transport or marketing, respectively. FAO calculated the value of these losses at US$23 million a year.
